  • Procedural trust: Continuous monitoring and mutual deterrence will be identified to develop a trust among them.
  • Confidence building measures: The steps for good faith of each other will be taken (Furlong, 2010).

The above sequence of steps would be effective to resolve the conflict within the organization. Conflict Resolution in Group Project To deal with a situation of group project, in which someone wan not pulling his weight, I would take the following steps to resolve the conflicts: Discuss with employee: First of all, I would converse the person individually and will tell him the conflicts and frustration of other team members due to his not supporting behaviour in group project. I will also threaten him for possible negative results of such type of behaviour. I would also ask him to know his point of view and will offer him my help to get out from any problem, which he is facing (Rothberg, 2002). Take the Actions: After identifying the problem of that member in the group, sufficient actions would be taken as per his problem such as complaint to supervisor, provide necessary help to member, etc.


Ideas for Developing Trust and Resolving Conflict Following are some ideas, which can be used to develop trust and resolve conflicts among the virtual team members: Facilitate team member reliability: It will be effective to develop trust in a virtual world because as the people will be reliable, they will do their tasks and commitments timely and it will reduce the conflict and would increase trust among members. Rapid response from team members: To develop trust and resolve conflicts, it is also essential to provide effective electronic means, so that team members could response quickly to the communication from other team members (Kirkman, Rosen, Gibson, Tesluk & McPherson, 2002). Develop team norms: It is also a good idea to resolve conflicts in virtual world as each people will act as per the team norms and in assigned roles and responsibilities with clear direction. It will also increase trust among members as they will be able to response quickly and to develop reliability (Simonson & Schlooser, 2002). These above ideas could be used personally as these would be effective to facilitate reliability and consequently develop trust and resolve conflicts among the members of a virtual team.
