Types of Student visa

There are mainly three types of student visas:

  1. Tier 4 (General): It is for those students who wish to pursue a full time course such as a degree or a foundation program for students whose age is 16 or above.
  2. Tier 4 (Child): The students whose age is in between 4 to 16 and wish to pursue studies in school can apply for this visa category.
  3. Visa for short-term studies: It is for those students who wish to pursue a course which lasts not more than 6 months and 11 months in case of a learning course for English (White, 2015).
